Sacred Sweat co-founders Sarah + Kelly invite you to spend a week tuning into yourself on our Fire + Ice Retreat to Akureyri, Iceland. Sarah + Kelly will provide the guidance to uncover your deep power and intuition using movement, meditation, and more. We invite you to find balance by providing you with opportunities for powerful movement practices and time to slow down and rest.
About Akureyri
A Place of Power
Akureyri is known as Iceland’s “Capital of the North” and is the gateway to some of Iceland’s finest and most unique experiences. You will spend seven nights in this magical landscape with opportunities to adventure out and stay in and relax.
Uniquely situated on a mid-oceanic ridge, the geology of Iceland is known as “the land of fire and ice”. it is home to several volcanoes and glaciers which have, over time, carve an epic landscape unlike any other in the world. Breathtaking mountains, dramatic waterfalls, turf homes, rolling farms and hills, natural geothermic springs, local wildlife, and of course the Northern Light await discovery.
Wellness Center
Movement Every Day
You will be offered the chance to move your body daily. Your participation is always optional and no prior experience is required.
The wellness center provides a beautiful room overlooking pastures and mountains where we will practice bodyweight strength and yoga.
Also included is the use of their sauna, jacuzzi, relaxation room, and showers.

You will have multiple excursions during your week in Iceland:
Ferry ride and tour/hike on Hrisey Island
Myvatn full day excursion with spa entrance fees (includes Godafoss waterfall, lava landscapes, psuedo craters, dinner overlooking Dimmuborgir, a soak in volcanic hot springs, and more)
Akureyri hiking excursion with pristine waterfalls and other surprises
Horse riding or whale watching
Northern Lights Tour on the most favorable night
The Food
Delicious, local, & accommodating to your dietary needs!
Icelandic farmers take much pride in their connection to the land. Amazing greenhouses provide year-round farm-to-table produce of an exceptional variety.
The café typically offers two fresh soups, fresh breads, a salad bar, and hot entrees at every meal. Locally grown potatoes, fresh-caught white fish, and the famous Icelandic lab rotate on the menu as well.
Gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, and vegan options will be available.
Where You’ll Stay
Accommodations:
The apartments you will stay in offer multiple options depending on whether you are traveling solo or with a companion. They feature modern design, central temperature control, comfortable beds with down comforters, full kitchens, common living areas, and natural drinking water straight out of the faucet.
Piping hot water for the showers and jacuzzi’s is tapped from below, heated by the earth itself.
An array of common breakfast items, fruit, coffee, and selection of teas are also provided. The apartments are just a 10-12 minute walk to the town center where many of the meals will be. Alternative modern hotel room should you require your own privacy.
Fire + Ice Retreat Pricing
A non-refundable deposit of $695 is due on or before April 4th, 2022 to secure your spot.
Payment plans will be provided. Airfare is not included.
